The Domus 4 Pressure Relieving Mattress by Apex Medical will provide the patient with high levels of support and has been designed for use within acute and community settings.
There are a number of different settings available when using the Domus 4. The most popularly used setting is the alternating therapeutic mode that continuously and sequentially inflates and deflates the mattresses air cells. This allows for pressure redistribution over a ten minute cycle time.
Another function is a max firm mode, that will hyper inflate the cells to provide a firm surface that is especially useful during moving, handling and nursing procedures. The mattress will only stay in max firm mode for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes the mattress will revert back to alternating therapeutic mode.
The control panel for the Domus 4 is ergonomically designed and easy to see without the need for the carer to change position when using it.
A lock out function will ensure the control panel automatically locks to help prevent the accidental changing of settings.
An alarm been included to alert the carers to either a power failure or a loss of air pressure.
There is also a service fault indicator that will alert the caregiver that the mattress needs to be repaired.
A bright coloured yellow and red CPR toggle can be found at the head end of the mattress for use in an emergency.
Supplied with a flame resistant mattress cover that has a number of features to aid with infection control. This mattress cover is vapour permeable, has anti-microbial properties and is water resistant. The cover is also four way stretch, has a white underside and 360 degree zip.
