Different types of wheelchairs that we stock

Self Propelled Wheelchairs – Fitted with larger rear wheels to allow the user to propel themselves whilst sitting in the chair. They also include handles that allow attendants to push the chair if necessary. Most of these chairs can be folded and have quick release rear wheels. This makes them much more portable and can make them easier to store.

Transit Wheelchairs – Often referred to as attendant propelled wheelchairs. These have been specifically designed to be so they can be pushed by a carer or attendant. They are often lightweight wheelchairs and are able to be easily folded into a more compact size.

Bariatric Wheelchairs – These are specifically designed for the larger, heavier user. Due to their reinforced frames they have increased maximum user weight capacities. They also have extra wide seats to ensure the users can be seated comfortably.

Crash Tested Wheelchairs – Crash tested wheelchairs have been crash tested and have the required tie down straps to ensure stability during transit. This means they can be used in Community Transport vehicles or adapted vehicles without having to remove the user from the wheelchair itself.

Travel Wheelchairs – Designed with the main focus on being on easy to travel with. They are extremely lightweight and compact. These are a popular choice with those who want a wheelchair that they can take on holiday with them. Another common use is when they only need to transfer somebody a short distance, for example from a car to the home.

Reclining Wheelchairs – Our reclining wheelchairs have backrests that can be reclined.

Paediatric Wheelchairs – We also supply a number wheelchairs suitable for children.

We are able to offer you 3 months free insurance with all wheelchair purchases. You can take advantage of 3 months completely FREE insurance as well as being able to purchase a 1 year, 2 year or 3 year policy by selecting the cover you require on the product page.

If you purchase a policy for 1 year or longer, you will still get your 3 months free on top, for example 15 months for the price of 12 months when buying a 1 year policy.
