The Domus 3 Pressure Relieving Mattress by Apex Medical has been designed for use mainly within the community and home care environments.
The air cells modular design means the maintenance, replacement and decontamination of the Domus 3 Mattress is easy to carry out.
The central section of the mattress features ventilated micro low air loss cells that are specially designed to aid air flow within the mattress to prevent infection control and to enhance patient comfort.
This mattress has a CPR toggle located at the head end of the mattress and is specifically designed to be highly visible to allow for quick use in an emergency.
The control panel is ergonomic and easy to use. One major benefit of this control panels positioning is that it does not require the carer to change position when using it.
A simple to use and intuitive weight setting function allows the the care giver to set the mattress up according to the patients weight.
If you do not require the mattresses alternating cycles, there is also a static mode. When enabled this static mode ensures that the cells inflate to the same pressure determined by the patients weight setting. This provides an even surface for the purpose of nursing procedures or to act as a step down function before a patient is moved back onto a foam mattress.
In the event of low air pressure in the mattress, an alarm will sound to alert caregivers.
Supplied with a flame resistant (BS 7175 Crib 7) water resistant mattress cover that has a 360 degree zip, white underside, vapour permeability and anti microbial properties. The cover is also four way stretch for added comfort and pressure relief. To wash the mattress it can be laundered in the washing machine.
